RRB Technician Recruitment 2024 is out! 9000 vacancies in the railways

Following the current application procedure for Assistant Loco Pilot positions, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has disclosed the details of a significant recruitment campaign. RRB just notified that the notification for the recruitment of Technicians will be released shortly (CEN No. 02/2024). For this recruitment, the board is now finishing up the centralized employment notification, which should be released shortly.

Following the announcement’s release,

interested individuals can download the notification and apply online for roughly 9,000 positions via the RRB region’s official website. Overview of the Technician Recruitment Process. The technician recruiting process will consist of two examination phases: a computer-based test (CBT) in the first phase and another CBT in the second.

First phase cbt 

• Time: 1 hour 
• Number of questions: 75 
• Qualifying Marks: Unreserved Category – 40%,
• OBC – 30%, 
• SC – 30%, 
• ST – 25% 
• Subject: Maths, Reasoning, General Science, GK/Current Affairs

Second phase cbt 

• Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
• Part A (90 minutes) and Part B (1 hour)

Part A

• Number of questions: 100
• Qualifying Marks: Unreserved Category – 40%, 
• OBC – 30%, 
• SC – 30%, 
• ST – 25% 
• Subject: Maths, Reasoning, General Science, GK/Current Affairs

Part B

• Time – 1 hour
• Number of questions – 75 
• Qualifying Marks – 35% for all categories
• Subject: Questions will be asked from related trade.

Those who pass the initial computer-based test will move on to the second step, where negative marking will be used in both stages. Ensuring the selection of qualified and competent technicians for the railway staff is the aim of the thorough evaluation process.

This is the timetable.

• In February 2024, there will only be one notification of this in Employment News.
• This will have an application process in March and April of 2024.
• From October through December of 2024, Computer Based Testing (CBT) is an option for this.
• In February 2025, the list of applicants for document verification is anticipated to be made public.
