According to BCAS,
airlines will now be required to deliver luggage within thirty minutes. The airline firms have been instructed by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) to guarantee that all passenger luggage arrives at the airport no later than half an hour after the flight lands. Directives issued to seven airline corporations. After the plane lands, passengers must wait a very long time for their bags. Numerous grievances are being received regarding this, after which the regulator BCAS has given these instructions to 7 airline companies.
Which seven airlines received directives?
According to a formal statement released on Sunday, BCAS has requested that the airlines take the appropriate steps to guarantee that items are delivered on schedule by February 26. This directive was sent to seven airlines on February 16: Vistara, AEX Connect, SpiceJet, Air India Express, IndiGo, and Akasa Air.
The goods must be delivered in thirty minutes or less.
Under the Operation, Management and Supply Agreement (OMDA), airlines will be required to turn over passengers’ bags within thirty minutes of landing in order to guarantee a high standard of service. Beginning in January 2024, BCAS will be keeping an eye on baggage arrivals at six major airports in the “belt” at the direction of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
