You can make UPI payments without the internet! just remember this code

In the digital age, people complete the majority of their jobs online. Whether it is ordering or shopping, everything is done online these days. For your information, let us tell you that UPI payment is done with the help of the Internet. But many times users are troubled by poor internet while making UPI payments. Given this, NPCI started the facility of making UPI payments without the Internet a few days ago. In such a situation, if you also want to make UPI payments without the internet, then it is now possible. You have to remember a secret code and also follow some steps.

You now need to memorize a code to make a UPI payment without an internet connection. It is initially required to have your UID and mobile number connected to the bank account to use the UPI payment service. It should have been possible to create a UPI ID with the bank account and mobile phone already. This feature is only available once your UPI ID has been generated. Tell us how you can use UPI to make payments even if you aren’t online.

to inform you that to conduct an offline UPI payment, you will need to memorize the secret USSD code *99#.

  • Next, enter this code into your phone’s dial pad and hit the call button.
  • Following that, the phrase Welcome to *99# will appear. Along with this message, you will see OK, which you have to tap.
  • After this, on the next page, you will get many options which include Send Money, Request Money, Check Balance, My Profile, Pending Request, Transactions, and UPI PIN.
  • Now if you want to send payment then you have to choose the Send option and if you want to receive payment then you have to choose the Request Money option.
  • After this, you will get options like Mobile Number, UPI ID, etc. Select any one of these and proceed further.
  • Then you will have to enter the details of the person to whom you want to make UPI payment.
  • After filling in the details, go to the next page where you have to enter your UPI PIN.
  • Similarly, you can also avail of the UPI payment service offline without the internet.
