iPadOS 26: With the release of iPadOS 26, Apple has elevated the iPad to a new level. This is the most significant iPadOS upgrade to date, completely changing the iPad’s usability, appearance, and functionality. This updated version boasts a gorgeous new look, a robust window system, new Apple Intelligence tools, and excellent file management capabilities.

New experience, new design
‘Liquid Glass’ is a new design language introduced in iPadOS 26 that enhances the personalization and interactivity of the home screen, Control Center, and lock screen. The user interface feels cleaner and more modern than before, and app icons now appear brilliant in both light and dark settings.
Strong window control system
Users now have more control over multi-window functionality thanks to the new windowing system. Now, you may manually resize windows, organize them in tile view, and use the Exposé function to view all open windows at once. Additionally, Stage Manager and support for external displays make multitasking more enjoyable.
The latest version of Apple Intelligence
With iPadOS 26, Apple Intelligence has advanced even further. It now has features like Image Playground, Zenmoji customisation, and live translation. Intelligent operations like text summarization and automatic image creation are also considered shortcuts.

Dock folders and file management
The Files app is much more sophisticated. Resizable columns, folder customisation (color, emoji, icon), and the ability to add folders to the dock have all made file access even simpler. Additionally, any file format can now be selected as the default application.
iPad premiere of the preview app
With macOS, the iPad now comes with the Preview app, which makes it simple to edit photos, fill out forms with AutoFill, and annotate PDFs with the Apple Pencil.
Excellent features for audio-visual experts
With the addition of features like Voice Isolation, Audio Input Selection, Background Tasks, and Local Capture, iPadOS 26 now gives content producers access to better workflows and high-quality recordings.
Now that the Journal app is available on the iPad, users may use the Apple Pencil to write diaries and add audio, location, and photographs. Game Overlay and the Apple Games app make gaming more devoted.
