Jeep Compass Track Edition: Jeep has launched its new Compass Track Edition in India, which will compete with SUVs like the Harrier, XUV700, and Tucson. Let’s take a look at its features.
To once again create a stir in the SUV segment in India, Jeep India has launched its new Compass Track Edition. This SUV is a limited edition version of the company’s popular Compass, which offers a great combination of premium design, luxury touch and powerful performance. The Compass Track Edition looks bolder and more stylish than before. The company has given it its signature hood decals, piano black grille and exclusive Track Edition badging, which makes it stand out on the road. It is also equipped with 18-inch diamond-cut Tech Grey alloy wheels which give it a sporty look.
Luxury and technology
- In fact, Jeep has added several new features to give this car’s interior a truly luxurious feel. Tupelo leatherette seats, smoke chrome finish, and spruce beige stitching give it a premium look. A leather wrap on the steering wheel and a piano black finish further enhance its interior design. In terms of technology, it features a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, a 10.25-inch digital TFT cluster, an Alpine sound system, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and 8-way electrically adjustable ventilated seats with memory function make it one of the most advanced in its segment.
Engine and performance
- The new Compass Track Edition is powered by a 2.0-liter Multijet II Turbo Diesel engine that produces 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission. Notably, Jeep has introduced a 9-speed automatic transmission for the first time in this segment. This SUV is available in both 2WD and 4WD options, making it easy to drive in the city or off-road.

- The Jeep Compass Track Edition is also highly equipped with safety features. It boasts over 50 standard and advanced safety features, including ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, all-speed traction control, and advanced brake assist. These features make this SUV not only a leader in luxury and style, but also in safety.
Price and competition
- The Jeep Compass Track Edition has been launched at all Jeep dealerships in India and bookings have also begun. Prices for the Compass Track MT are priced at Rs. 26.78 lakh, the Compass Track AT at Rs. 28.64 lakh, and the Compass Track AT 4×4 at Rs. 30.58 lakh, ex-showroom. The company is also offering an AXS pack worth Rs. 8,200. It will compete with SUVs like the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Tucson, and Skoda Kushaq in the Indian market. The Jeep Compass Track Edition is a great option for those who want luxury, power, and safety in a premium SUV.
