The voice message playback speed control feature has been made available on WhatsApp Beta version 2.21.9.4 Android. The speed control feature can be used only on this beta version. It also supports this feature on earlier beta versions.

WhatsApp Android beta users can try this feature. WhatsApp users can register for the beta version. After this, they can use this feature. WhatsApp beta program is also available for iOS but this feature has not been released for it at the moment.

WhatsApp was seen last month testing the playback feature at different speeds for voice messages. It was reported by WABetaInfo. This feature has been released with three different playback speed voice messages. It has been introduced with the updated UI.

WhatsApp beta users who are part of this test can see the symbol of playback speed near the voice message. It has three different playback speed controls. It has the option of 1x, 1.5x, and 2x playback. On clicking on the voice message, it will play normally. But its speed can be changed by clicking 1x, 1.5x, or 2x.

In this feature, there is no option to play voice messages at a slow speed. These features have currently been released for Android users. When this feature will be released for all WhatsApp users, the company has not said anything about this. It is believed that after beta testing, it will be released to everyone soon.
