Petrol and diesel prices are at all-time highs. Check out the most recent rates in your city.

– Rates in some Madhya Pradesh cities and parts of Rajasthan continued to rise above 100 percent.

After a day of stability, Petrol and diesel prices were raised for the eighth time this month on Friday.

According to a price notification issued by state-owned fuel retailers in Delhi, the price of gasoline has increased by 29 paise, while the price of diesel has increased by 29 paise. On Wednesday, petrol prices in the national capital had risen to 92.34 rupees, while diesel prices had risen to 82.95 rupees.

In some Madhya Pradesh cities and parts of Rajasthan, the prices continued to rise above 100 percent.

Bhopal, the state capital of MP, became the first in the world to see petrol cross the Rs100 mark on Wednesday. In the capital, a litre of petrol costs Rs100.38, while a litre of diesel costs Rs91.31

Petrol costs Rs103.27 in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar, while diesel costs Rs95.70.

Fuel prices are revised on a regular basis by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) in accordance with international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates.

Prices vary from state to state due to the impact of local taxes such as value-added tax (VAT) and freight fees.

Central and state taxes account for 60% of the retail price of gasoline and about 54% of the retail price of diesel. The excise tax on petrol is 32.90 per litre and on diesel is 31.80 per litre, according to the union government.

Petrol costs ₹99.02 per litre in Jaipur, while diesel costs ₹91.80 per litre.

Petrol prices in Patna are ₹94.69 per litre, while diesel prices are ₹88.31 per litre.
