Japanese manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motor is about to introduce a new SUV. The new vehicle will be inspired by Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s Corolla Cross. However, its length will be longer. A seven-seater model is expected to be featured in it. The car will be competing with models like the Mahindra XUV 700, and Hyundai Tucson with Jeep Meridian in the Indian market. The car will be built on the company’s modular TNGA C platform. It will include FWD as well as AWD systems.
What kind of car will it be?
The company utilizes the TNGA-C platform for its small cars, crossover SUVs, and MPVs of mid-size size. The same platform has been utilized by Toyota for its latest Innova Highcross. Other than using this particular platform, the brand new Toyota 7-seater SUV could have the same engine that powers Innova Highcross. It will feature an electric tailgate, and will also have flat-folding seats. The company will also be able to modify its D and C pillars.
What do you think the powertrain will look like?

The engine will be fitted with a manual 5-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 343 Nm and the maximum power is 105PS. Two modes of drive like Eco or Power should be on offer within this model. In 2023, the Toyota Innova Crysta will come in 8 and 7-seater models as well as five colors.
Can compete against Mahindra XUV700
