Honda unveiled the new hydrogen-fueled CR-V in the United States. Honda and General Motors collaborated to develop the 2025 CR-V e: FCEV, which is the first plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle available in America. With just one fill-up, the hydrogen-powered CR-V can drive over 434 km. With the aid of the battery, it can go an extra 47 kilometers.
By year’s end,
this car will be offered for lease in California. The Honda Performance Manufacturing Centre in Marysville, Ohio, is where this SUV will be produced. With redesigned body panels in front of the A-pillar and liftgate, a distinctive rear design, and big 18-inch 10-spoke black alloy wheels, its outward style is striking.
The 2025 Honda CR-V e: FCEV’s features
The car has an aggressively streamlined appearance due to its tall hood and low, upright grille design on the front. A fully equipped Touring model of the fuel cell-powered CR-V will be offered with features like a 10.2-inch digital instrument console, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other features include a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone temperature control, a motorized tailgate, a parking sensor, and environmentally friendly materials like bio-based leather upholstery.
The 2025 CR-V e: FCEV’s powertrain
The CR-V e: FCEV is outfitted with Honda’s second-generation fuel cell technology. Its 17.7 kWh battery powers a single front-wheel drive motor that generates 174 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. The power output of this fuel cell model is 92.2kW. The four drive modes are Snow, Sport, Eco, and Normal.
