On the other hand, after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an increase in tax on cigarettes in the budget for the financial year 2023-24, the shares of other cigarette companies including Godfrey Phillips India and ITC Limited fell by up to five percent.

The new Maruti Fronx SUV model lineup will be made available in five trims – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. The range-topping Alpha trim will get features like a 360-degree camera, head-up display (HUD), leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and dual-tone color scheme.

The standard feature kit includes dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, a hill hold assist rear defogger, an electronic stability program, tilt adjustment for steering, powered windows, and a 60:40 rear seat split. It also gets automatic climate control, keyless entry and go, fabric seat upholstery, and dual-tone interiors.

The new Maruti compact crossover is offered with a choice of 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol Boosterjet, and 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder NA petrol engines. It gets three gearboxes – a 5-speed manual (standard), 6-speed torque converter automatic (turbo-petrol), and 5-speed AMT (NA petrol only).
