It is spread via SMS. The SMS contains a link to a malicious Android app. This app spreads itself from SMS to other contacts of the Victim. Recently, there was a report that a fake message is being sent to the users to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
Most such apps are malware. Once you click on the link found in the message, it is automatically installed in your device. Attackers have prepared such messages very well. People come under the influence of such messages and install malicious Android app.
