Driving License: Challan will not be diminished even if the driving license expires, the government increased the validity

Driving License Latest Update: If your driving license has expired last year or is going to expire in the next few days, then there is no need to panic because your challan will not be deducted even then. Because the government has once again increased the validity of other motor vehicle documents including driving license, registration certificate (RC), fitness certificate.

Keeping in mind the second wave of the Corona epidemic, all these documents will now be valid till 30 September. Earlier, the validity of all these documents was expiring on June 30. Crores of people will get a big relief from this step of the government.  

Driving license, RC will be valid till 30 September

According to the order issued by the Ministry of Road and Transport, these documents which were expired by February 1, 2020, or are due to expire on September 30, 2021, and could not be renewed due to lockdown restrictions, are now valid till 30 September 2021. will be considered. An order in this regard has been issued by the ministry to all the concerned departments.

They have been told that due to this, citizens should not face any problem in transport-related services. All the states and union territories have been asked to implement this with immediate effect so that the transporters and other organizations working in this difficult time do not face any kind of harassment or trouble. 

Validity has increased 6 times already

Let us tell you that in view of the corona epidemic, the government had increased the validity of documents like driving license, RC, and fitness certificate 6 times. Earlier, all these documents were valid till June 30, 2021. Earlier, advisories were also issued by the Ministry of Road and Transport on 30 March-2020, 9 June-2020, 24 August-2020, 27 December-2020, 26 March-2021.

The government says that due to the restrictions of the lockdown, the transportation and production of essential goods should go on smoothly, so the validity of these papers has been extended. When the government came to know that citizens are facing problems in the renewal of motor vehicle documents, the government has decided to increase their validity. 

New licenses started in many cities of UP

At present, the work of making driving licenses has started in some states including UP, but only new licenses are being made now. Renewal of license, learning license may have to wait a long time. The validity of the expired motor vehicle documents was ending on June 30, after which there were apprehensions in the minds of people as to how they would get the documents of their vehicles in the future. This decision of the government is a relief step for crores of people.
