Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that youngsters aged 15 to 18 will be administered the corona vaccine beginning January 3, 2022. He stated that this service will be available across the country beginning January 3 (Monday).
From January 10, anybody over the age of 60 will be able to use the facilities.
‘The option of Precaution Dose of vaccine would be offered to citizens with co-morbidities beyond 60 years of age on the suggestion of a doctor from January 10 onwards,’ PM Modi added.
The country has already surpassed its goal of 141 crore immunizations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said earlier today in his address to the nation that India began distributing vaccines to its population on January 16 of this year. Today, India has achieved the extraordinary and extremely tough goal of 141 crore vaccination doses, thanks to the collaborative effort and will of all inhabitants of the country.
Vaccination was received by 61 percent of the population.
‘Today, over 61 percent of India’s adult population has gotten both vaccine doses,’ he said. Similarly, a single dose of the vaccine has been administered to almost 90% of the adult population.
‘As a precaution, the administration has determined that the precaution dose of the vaccination will also begin on January 10, 2022 (Monday) for healthcare and frontline personnel,’ the PM stated.
