Girl caught red-handed cheating shopkeeper
In a recent incident, a girl was caught red-handed while duping a shopkeeper. It was found that the girl was using a spoof Paytm app to dupe people. Resembling Paytm, this ‘Paytm spoof’ mimics the online payment app.
How did you get fooled through the spoof app?
In the video, we can see that he has entered many details like name, phone number, amount, date, and time. On entering the asked details, the spoof app generated a fake notification that the transaction was successful. The notification looked so realistic that the shopkeeper assumed that the fraudster had paid the money. Whereas in reality, no transaction took place.
