Skoda Auto India has launched the 2022 model Kodiaq facelift SUV with an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 34.99 lakh. The SUV is offered in 3 trims – Style, Sportline, and Laurin & Clement. The price of the top model of the Kodiaq facelift goes up to Rs 37.49 lakh. After the BS6 rules that came into force in April 2020, the company removed it from the market and now it has returned after about two years. The new Kodiaq will compete with Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross.
BS6 standard 2.0-litre TSi petrol engine
Skoda introduced the Kodiaq facelift in the global market last year, with changes in the exterior, interior, and design. The SUV is powered by a BS6 standard 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 190 PS power and 320 Nm peak torque. The company has equipped this engine with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and Skoda claims that the Kodiaq can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 7.8 seconds.

New dual-tone alloy wheels and functional roof rails
The 2022 Kodiaq facelift gets a hexagonal grille that comes with a chrome surround. Here body-color bumpers and slightly changed design have been found. The SUV gets Crystalline LED headlamps that come with attractive turn indicators. The new dual-tone alloy wheels and functional roof rails have been given in silver color to give an SUV look, which gives it a sporty look.
Got inbuilt navigation and wireless connectivity
Talking about the cabin, the SUV has been given a black and beige-themed interior. There is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with inbuilt navigation and wireless connectivity. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster has been given on the dashboard, apart from this features like three-zone automatic climate control and a 12-speaker sound system have been provided. The front seats of the SUV are ventilated and come with cooling and heating functions. Many other features like ambient lighting, electric panoramic sunroof have been given in the cabin.
This car is also strong in terms of safety.
The company has also talked about providing a dynamic chassis control system with the 2022 Kodiaq facelift. Through this, damping characteristics are found while adjusting the shock absorbers of the car. Users can change these by selecting the driving mode. Skoda has provided 5 driving modes with this SUV which include Eco, Normal, Sports, Snow, and Individual. In terms of safety too, this car is strong, which has been given features like 9 airbags, ESC, MCB, AFS, ABS, ASR. Hill descent control and 360-degree camera have been made available as usual with the top model.
