New Delhi: UIDAI has alerted the Aadhaar cardholders on using PVC Aadhaar cards generated from open markets. According to their latest guidelines, authorities pointed out that these cards are not valid and only cards issued from their official website are only valid.
UIDAI stated, “#AadhaarEssentials We strongly discourage the use of PVC Aadhaar copies from the open market as they do not carry any security features. Order Aadhaar PVC Card by paying Rs 50/-(including both Speed post charges and GST). To order click on: eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricPVC.”
In other terms, Aadhaar Cards obtained from the open market are not safe and secure thus cardholders should need to order the document from UIDAI or their website by paying a fee of Rs 50, including speed post charges with GST.

“#OrderAadhaarPVC and order #Aadhaar PVC Card from the link- myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricPVC. The charge for this service is Rs 50 including speed post charges with GST, and it will be sent to you through Speed post. Aadhaar PVC Card will be dispatched in 5 working days usually and details will be shared via SMS,” according to UIDAI tweet.
Steps to follow to order PVC Aadhaar card:
- Visit the UIDAI official website i.e. https://uidai.gov.in/
- After that go to the My Aadhaar section and click on ‘Order Aadhaar PVC card”.
- Enter 12 digital Aadhaar card numbers or 16 digits virtual ID or 28 digits EID.
- Verify details with the OTP verification method.
- Now check the preview of your Aadhar PVC card.
- Pay Rs 50 to complete the order.
