It is considered forbidden to do Manglik work for 8 days in Holashtak. It has been said in the scriptures that on these days auspicious work like naming ceremony, janeu sanskar, home entry, marriage ceremony should not be done. At the same time, no kind of Havan, Yagya Karma is also performed these days. It has also been told in the scriptures that the girls who are newly married at the time of Holashtak should stay in their maternal home.
