Story: Vikram Aditya, a highly renowned palmist, falls in love with Dr. Prerna, despite trying a lot. While he predicts a long and bright future for her, it seems that destiny has something else in the store, or does it?
Review: A group of scientists approaches Guru Paramhansa (Satya Raj), who is running a kind of Vedic school. There is an apparent conflict between him and one of the scientists who questions his deep belief and study in astrology and palmistry. The sequence introduces the audience to Vikram Aditya (Prabhas), who is referred to as the ‘Nostradamus of India’ in the film, and whose predictions never go wrong.

Vikram claims throughout the film that he doesn’t have a love line and wants flirtation and not a relationship. And yet, he falls in love with Dr. Prerna (Pooja Hegde) – a girl who is fighting some unavoidable circumstances in her life (any more details would give away the plot). The dichotomy here is the palm reading of Vikram Aditya indicating a bright future while the events of his life are pointing in a different direction.
The story attempts to drive home the point that no science is complete and 100 percent accurate; And that there is always a small but bright chance to change your destiny with karma. And the same applies to the best palm-readers in the world. However, at run-time of around 140 minutes, which also seems tediously long, the basic idea doesn’t quite reach its desired mark. Hence, the film fails to create an impact with all the equipment it has, which includes well-known names and a slew of good actors in each technical department.
The sweet chemistry between Pooja and Prabhas is a hindrance in this love story, and sadly, their characters are not carved with enough depth, clarity or logic. It affects their individual performances as well, though the actors try to play their parts perfectly. The screenplay is full of pointless moments, characters that don’t serve the story, and many unexplained situations that make you wonder how and why.

The film has been extensively shot in different parts of Europe, which gives it a story-like appearance which is a plus. It provides a gorgeous visual treat. The music of Mithun, Amaal Malik, and Manan Bhardwaj match well with the background of the story.
The filming of some songs reminds you of the good old music videos made many years ago. The VFX deserves applause and adds to the visual quality of the film. But all this hardly salvages this love story whose destiny could have actually been something else.
