Volkswagen’s Polo hatchback has completed 12 years in India and to celebrate the same, the company has launched the Polo Legend Edition. The new Legend Edition is a limited edition and has been made available at a limited number of 151 Volkswagen dealerships across the country.
Volkswagen Polo is one of the most popular sporty hatchbacks sold in India. To celebrate this, the company has launched a new limited edition of Polo. The name of the car is Polo Legend Edition and this new hatchback has been introduced for car lovers. Volkswagen has based the Polo Legend Edition on the GT TSI variant of the hatchback. The Polo Legend is powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine that makes 110 PS of power and 175 Nm of peak torque. The company has equipped this engine with a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.

How different is the Polo Legend Edition
To make the hatchback stand out from all other standard models, Volkswagen has made several design changes to the Polo Legend Edition. Legend badging has been given on the fenders and boot with the Special Edition Polo. To give a more sporty look to the hatchback, it has been given side body graphics, black trunk garnish, and black roof foil. Volkswagen is making the Polo Legend Edition available in a limited number of 151 dealerships across the country.
Polo completes 12 years in India
Volkswagen Polo production in India was started in 2009 and Polo has completed 12 years in the Indian market since the hatchback was launched in the country in 2010. Volkswagen Polo is manufactured in the domestic market and is produced at the Chakan plant near Pune. Polo has made a place in the homes of 3 lakh customers since its launch. The Volkswagen Polo is one of the first hatchbacks to be made in India with the company normally providing two airbags. It was once one of the safest cars in India and was given a 4-star safety rating by Global NCAP in 2014.
