Google is adding a new feature dubbed “Audio Emoji” to its Phone app to make phone calls more entertaining. Android users will be able to play six different kinds of noises while on the phone, according to 9to5Google. These noises will sound like drumroll, poop, laugh, celebration, applause, and sadness. Known as “Sound Reaction” at first, the “Audio Emoji” function debuted in September of last year.
A new feature has now been added to the Google Phone app,
which is now live in the test version (version 128) and should be made public in a few weeks. This feature allows you to play any speech emoji, and it will display a little animation on the screen. It is now unknown if both the caller and the listener will see this animation or not, but the voice will be heard on both sides.
How to use Android’s audio emoji
Only trial users can currently utilize this feature. How to utilize it:
– Go to the Settings on your phone.
– Go to the General section by scrolling down.
– Press the “Audio Emojis” button.
– To switch it on, press the switch.
After you enable the option,
sending a spoken emoji during a call will be possible via a floating button on the screen. Select any emoji that appears when you tap ‘Try Audio Emoji’. Just remember that this feature is limited to speaker mode. Additionally, you are unable to send two sound emojis back-to-back because of the small pause that occurs between them. There’s a new function available on the Google Play Store. You may now download and set up multiple apps at once. This feature currently works only for downloading new apps, not for updating apps.
