In India, Ducati has introduced a new bike the DesertX Rally, an off-road-focused variant of the original DesertX. The ex-showroom price of Rs 23.7 lakh has been maintained. At this price range, the Indian market offers a wide selection of excellent SUVs. Because the Rally version has more high-end suspension parts than the standard DesertX, it is slightly more expensive.
Although the standard DesertX
is already a perfect motorcycle, the Rally model sports an upgraded suspension system from the Kayaba. Additionally, the suspension is made by the same company for the standard DesertX. The 48mm closed cartridge forks on the DesertX Rally have a 250mm travel. In contrast, the fork travel in a standard DesertX is 230mm.
Additionally, the rear shock has been
revised and now has greater travel. Full adjustability for both high- and low-speed compression damping is also offered in this bike. The DesertX Rally’s revised suspension has increased both ground clearance (280 mm) and seat height (910 mm). It has a larger 21-liter fuel tank (4 liters more than the normal DesertX), adjustable brake and gear pedals, a high front fender, carbon fiber sump guard, and spoke wheels with tube tires. There has also been a minor weight gain in conjunction with this. The Rally version of the DesertX weighs 211 kg (without gasoline), while the ordinary DesertX weighs 210 kg.
It’s important to note that the 937cc L-twin engine,
which produces 109 horsepower and 92 Nm of torque, is the same as the rally version. Aside from this, amenities like the standard DesertX’s 6-speed transmission, traction control, riding modes, and ABS are also included.
