Verify Bank Account Details: If you want to send money to a bank account but aren’t sure what account number to use, you can verify the account.
When we send money to someone’s bank account, we never know if the account number and other information are correct. The worst-case scenario is when you send money to the wrong account and never receive it back.
But, in this article, we’ll show you how to easily check whether the account to which you’re sending money is correct or not. The best part is that you won’t have to pay anything for it.
You’ll need to use the BHIM UPI-based app for this. You can send money to a bank account or a UPI ID using the BHIM app. It also allows users to see information about the account holder. You can use this to see if the account is active or not.
We’ll show you how to verify your bank account number using BHIM in this article. If your phone does not already have the BHIM app, download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
Then finish the registration process within it. After that, go to the app’s home screen and tap the send icon. You will also have the option of selecting A/C + IFSC. The next step is to choose the account to which you want to transfer funds.
You can also type in the text box to select a bank account. Enter the branch’s IFSC code after selecting the bank. After that, you are free to leave the beneficiary account name blank. Then, re-enter and confirm the account number.
After that, you’ll see a green tick box. By clicking the Verify button on the next screen, you can see the account holder’s name. Due to privacy concerns, the full name is rarely revealed. After that, you can complete the transaction using the BHIM app or another payment app.
