According to a recent announcement from the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), members can now access their necessary documents using the Dispersible service. On Saturday, the organization shared an infographic via its official Twitter account with this information.
“Members can download UAN card, Pension Payment Order (PPO), and Scheme Certificate through DigiLocker,” the EPFO noted in a post sharing the infographic. Additionally, the infographic states that all papers may be downloaded from DigiLocker.
UAN is an essential document
For salaried employees who want to manage their many Employees’ Provident Fund (EPFO) accounts, a UAN is a crucial piece of paperwork. At the same time, the PPO number—a distinct 12-digit number—is needed by retirees in order to receive their pension.
The EPFO, however, also issues an EPS certificate that provides information about the Provident Fund member’s service history. In addition to the service information, such as the number of years the member served, there are also facts on the employee’s family, including information about the family member who would be eligible for a pension in the event that the member passed away.
EPFO was formed on 15 November 1951. EPFO
Employees in the organized sector are covered by the Contributory Provident Fund, a pension plan, and an insurance program run by EPFO. On November 15, 1951, the Employees’ Provident Fund Ordinance established EPFO. In 1952, the Employees’ Provident Fund Act took its place.
The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitYflagship )’s initiative for the Digital India program is called DigiLocker. By providing citizens with access to genuine digital papers in a digital document wallet, it intends to “Digitally Empower” the citizen.
