Today, Tata Motors unveiled the electric version of the Tata Tiago, a well-liked hatchback. It has an initial cost of Rs. 8.49 lakh. This is the least expensive electric vehicle in the nation. A single charge will give this EV a 315 km driving range. Booking for it will begin on October 10th, 2022, and delivery will begin in January of 2023.
With vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV, the automotive behemoth already dominates the nation’s EV market. India’s first high-end hatchback in the EV market is the Tata Tiago. A DC fast charger will take 57 minutes to charge the Tiago battery to 80% capacity.
The Tiago comes equipped with an eight-speaker system, electric ORVMs, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start/stop, and many other conveniences. The Tiago EV is allegedly the safest electric hatchback in India. On this EV, the battery and motor warranties will last up to 1,60,000 km.
The Tata Tiago EV will have two driving modes available. This EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds. 2,000 units of the first 10,000 Tiago EV reservations would be set aside for Tata EV consumers.

4 years In the following four years, Tata plans to release 10 battery electric vehicles. Chairman N Chandrasekaran stated in his address to the shareholders in the 76th Annual Report that the penetration of electric vehicles (EV) in our portfolio in India has now increased to 2% this year.

He remarked that in the upcoming years, we may anticipate substantial growth. Tata Motors will release 10 brand-new BEV automobiles by 2025. In addition to looking at partnerships in cell and battery manufacturing in India and abroad, the Tata Group will invest in the establishment of charging infrastructure.
