To offer financial services to customers right at their doorstep, the SBI introduced the “Mobile Handheld Device.” Under this, users of the bank can access a variety of bank services via portable devices. The goal of this project, according to SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara, is to increase financial inclusion and offer basic banking services to the general public. The goal of this program is to make using bank services more convenient and accessible.
You will first benefit from five facilities.
According to him, this action puts “kiosk banking” in the hands of the clients. Agents in customer service centers (CSP) have more freedom as a result. Reaching out to clients, especially those with health difficulties, elderly people, and people with disabilities, will be made easier thanks to this. The new project, according to Khara, would initially offer five financial services: cash withdrawal, cash deposit, fund transfer, balance inquiry, and micro statement.
More than 75% of all transactions on the bank’s CSP
according to Khara, involve these services. He added that the bank has later plans to begin offering social security program enrolment, account opening, and card-based services. In order to fulfill the goals of financial inclusion, the SBI Chairman stated “Our aim is to make banking facilities accessible to all sections of society, especially the unbanked.”
Customers would have the experience
of transacting in their location, he claimed, with the introduction of mobile handheld gadgets. Numerous people would benefit from easy doorstep banking services made possible by this technology.
