MG Motors has recently lowered the cost of its vehicles. Hector’s prices have also been lowered in this context. Hector is now less expensive than its close competitor Tata Harrier following the price reduction. Concurrently, the costs of Hector Plus have also been lowered, making it more reasonably priced when compared to the Mahindra XUV700 6/7 passenger models. Hector Plus is still more expensive than Tata Safari, though.
MG Hector
Up to Rs 80,000 has been taken off the price of the MG Hector’s diesel variant, while Rs 8,000 has been taken off the price of the petrol variant. Hector’s base model is now Rs 54,000 less expensive than Harrier’s base model. At the same time, the fully-laden MG Hector is much more affordable than the top-spec Harrier. The top-spec models of each, however, vary in that the diesel and automatic drivetrain options are different. Diesel is offered with an automatic powertrain in the Harrier, but not in the Hector. Pricing-wise, the Hector is still Rs 95,000 higher than the Mahindra XUV700 5-seat base-spec model.
Prices
— MG Hector- Rs 14.95 lakh to Rs 21.95 lakh
— Tata Harrier- Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 26.44 lakh
