UPI payments from India are expanding worldwide. You will be able to use India’s payment system to make payments in Mauritius and Sri Lanka, following France. It will be launched today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition, these two nations will have access to UPI and RuPay connectivity. The majority of this will assist Indian tourists.

PM Modi, the prime minister of Mauritius, and the president of Sri Lanka will be present at the UPI service launch. PM Modi On Monday, Pravind Jugnauth, the prime minister of Mauritius, and Ranil Wickremesinghe, the president of Sri Lanka, will hold a video conference to officially introduce the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) services in both countries. The introduction of UPI services will make travel to Sri Lanka easier for Indian nationals.
The bilateral relationship
between Mauritius and Sri Lanka is strengthening due to India’s strong ties with both countries. Faster and more seamless digital transactions would be feasible with the introduction of UPI services. The globalization will benefit the people of both nations. The two nations’ mutual digital connectivity will rise. The banks in Mauritius will be able to offer customers the option of using RuPayCard for settlements in both India and Mauritius as a result of the extension of RuPayCard services there.
