Many efforts are being made to control pollution across the country. It is believed that by the year 2030, the goal of net zero carbon emissions can be achieved. Many such measures are being taken by the Railways for some time so that the Railways can be made eco-friendly.

There will be a big change in the railway soon,

Apart from this, Railways is trying to electrify its entire network, due to which passengers will have to spend less money for fare. After electrification, passengers can get cheaper tickets during the journey. Along with this, railways will also benefit a lot. About 142 MW of solar plants and about 103 MW of wind power plants have been commissioned. Locomotives, Kolkata Metro rakes, Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) trains, Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains as well as Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) based 3-phase systems are used.

75 cities will be connected

Along with this, PM Modi has said that by August 2023, 75 cities of the country will be connected by semi-high-speed trains. At present, Vande Bharat train is running on 5 routes of the country and soon the sixth train will also be flagged off. Country’s sixth Vande Bharat Express will run between Secunderabad (Telangana) and Jiyawada (Andhra Pradesh) stations.

Railway Minister has already given updates,

An update has already been given on this by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. According to information received from media reports, passengers will get another gift of Vande Bharat on the new year. At present, its date has not been announced yet. Railway officials start announcing the dates only after the upgradation work of the track is over.
