The Indian government’s Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) program offers low-income families free LPG connections. Along with a free LPG connection, the beneficiary of this plan also receives a free LPG cylinder and chulha. You must take the following actions to apply online for PMUY.
1. Check out PMUY’s official website at https://www.pmuy.gov.in/.
2. Select “Apply for New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection” from the menu.
3. Type in the number on your Aadhar card and the cellphone number connected to it.
4. Select “Send OTP” from the menu.
5. Type the OTP that you have on your phone.
6. Enter your name here address, and other required information.
7. Give your consent and click on the “Submit” button.
For PMUY, you can apply offline as well.
You must get in touch with your local LPG distributor, who is the closest one, for this. The requirements for Ujjwala Yojana eligibility are as follows:
1. The candidate needs to be a female.
2. The applicant must be older than eighteen years old.
3. In rural areas, the applicant’s family’s annual income should not exceed ₹1 lakh, and in urban areas, it should not exceed ₹2 lakh.
4. No LPG connection should already exist within the applicant’s family.
The following files are needed for PMUY:
1. Aadhar Card of the applicant.
2. The applicant’s family members Aadhar cards
3. Applicant’s bank account passbook.
4. The applicant’s proof of residency
The following advantages are provided to the beneficiary under PMUY:
Free LPG Connection: A complimentary LPG connection is provided to the recipient.
Free LPG Chulha: The recipient receives one LPG Chulha at no cost to them.
Free LPG Cylinder: The recipient receives one LPG cylinder at no cost to them.
