The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has clarified that the semester registration fees for students have not increased.
On Sunday, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) issued a significant announcement about an increase in the semester registration fee. JNU explained in the notice that the semester registration fees for students have not increased. The official notification said, “Due to the current pandemic situation, the student registration process has been placed on hold until May 16, 2021.”
“They are encouraged to keep visiting and linking to the JNU website, jnu.ac.in, for updates on the registration process. Students are advised not to believe misinformation circulated on social media and to contact the Evaluation Branch directly for clarifications if required.”

Furthermore, JNU has announced that another Covid-19 vaccination camp will be held for all serving workers and their dependents (age group 45 and up) as well as all personnel employed under the university’s critical services, living both on and off-campus.
“As a result, all those who have received the first dose and need to receive the second dose, as well as those who have not yet been vaccinated, are asked to provide their information (name, age, vaccination status, phone number) to the Security Department (Vakil Ahmad, Security Inspector, Phone numbers: 8130573744; 9312437374) at any time with immediate effect,” says the statement.
The Covid-19 vaccination camp can be set up on campus as required.
