MG4 Electric Hatchback: Tata Motors dominates the Indian electric car market. Tata Motors is already selling several electric models. Now at Auto Expo 2023, Tata has showcased several electric models including Harrier EV, and Safari EV. Apart from this, Hyundai has also launched its second electric model – Ioniq 5 in India. In such a situation, MG also did not lag behind, MG, already present in the Indian electric car market, has now displayed a new electric car at the Auto Expo. This is the MG4 Electric hatchback.
The MG4 Electric is already on sale in Europe, where it comes in 3 variants – Standard, Comfort, and Luxury. The Standard variant offers a 350 km range while the Comfort and Luxury variants offer a 450 km range. The MG4 Electric measures 4,287mm in length, 1,836mm in width, and 1,504mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,705mm. The electric hatchback offers 350 liters of boot space, which can be expanded to 1,165 liters by folding the rear seats. Many features of ADAS technology are also available in the electric hatchback.
Along with this, many other features like a 360-degree camera, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, iSMART connectivity system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, air conditioning, and floating 10.25-inch infotainment screen have also been provided. The MG iSmart also offers a navigation system, which enables real-time routing with online support. This includes voice control and multiple vehicles remote access.
The electric hatchback also gets a vehicle-to-load function, which works as a mobile power bank for charging devices like e-bikes, smartphones, and computers with an adapter cable. It has two battery pack options of 51kWh and 64kWh.
