On Independence Day 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said from the Red Fort that the central government would launch the “Vishwakarma Yojana” the following month. Vishwakarma Jayanti will mark the beginning of this program. According to PM Modi, who provided details about the program, the government is launching this program for persons with traditional skills.

The Vishwakarma scheme would be introduced on Vishwakarma Jayanti, according to the government. With an allocation of Rs 13,000 crore, the central government would launch the Vishwakarma scheme. Let’s note that PM Modi stated this plan prior to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections during his 10th consecutive Independence Day speech. People will begin to benefit from this program in such a scenario prior to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Additionally, the Rs 13,000 crore Vishwakarma plan, which would help nearly 30 lakh traditional artisans and craftsmen, including weavers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, laundry workers, and barbers, has been approved by the Union Cabinet. In the Union Cabinet meeting, the Prime minister authorized the “PM Vishwakarma” program to encourage those with traditional talents, according to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Loans up to Rs 1 lakh would be made available under this program on convenient terms.
