The Modi administration is constantly making progress towards the Centre for the Economic Empowerment of Farmers. Under this, the government launched PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, its most ambitious project. Farmers receive Rs 6000 per year under this (Rs 2000 in one installment).
Farmers have received 14 installments of PM Kisan so far in their accounts.
However, some farmers will now receive Rs 12,000 rather than Rs 6,000. The Shivraj Singh administration of Madhya Pradesh launched the “Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana” (Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana) on the model of the Central Government. There was a provision in this to donate Rs. 4000 yearly.
The MP government has declared that the sum earned
under this program would be increased to Rs. 6000 per year. That is, both the federal government and the state of Madhya Pradesh will now each contribute 6,000–6,000 rupees to aid the state’s farmers. This totals Rs 12,000 overall.
According to information provided by the agriculture department
of the government of Madhya Pradesh, the ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’ is helping to financially empower farmers and solve their concerns. More than 83 lakh farmers are receiving cash help through the program.
‘Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana’ was launched by the MP government
on September 25, 2020, with the goal of empowering farmers. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s cabinet approved the distribution of Rs. 6000 to qualified farmers beginning with the 2023–2024 fiscal year. 4000 rupees had previously been paid in two equal installments.
Such farmers who qualify for PM Kisan are provided
the benefit of Kisan Kalyan Yojana on behalf of the MP government. A farmer will not benefit from Kisan Kalyan Yojana if he is not receiving Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana benefits.
