In the realm of bikes, a new electric bike has just been released. The Orxa Mantis is this. The ex-showroom pricing of this electric motorcycle is Rs 3.60 lakh. Mantis spent almost six years in preparation. In 2019, Orxa Energies presented the Mantis during India Bike Week (IBW). The design featured in IBW has undergone significant modifications. The finished production version of Mantis is now available.
Lighter production version
Production specifications Mantis weighs less than every other prototype. The bike’s many components have been modified by the business to make it lighter. Also updated is the frame. This has contributed to the motorcycle’s increased lightness and agility. An aluminum subframe was utilized in the production version, which helped to make the Mantis more agile.
Improved appearance with angular design
In terms of appearance, the Mantis boasts an angular design with split seats, a contoured tank, and a compact rear section. The Mantis boasts a unique DRL and twin headlamp arrangement, and the front fascia looks fantastic as well. The Mantis is equipped with a telescopic fork, alloy wheels, a rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both ends, LED lighting, and very little bodywork.
Range, motor, and battery pack
With an 8.9kWh battery pack, the Mantis electric bike is entirely on electricity. The 221-kilometre IDC range is what the company claims. Mantis has an acceleration time of 8.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. It can go up to 135 km/h at its fastest. With a 3.3kW fast charger, the battery pack can be charged from 0% to 80% in 2.5 hours.
