When it comes to selling the most cars in the nation, Tata Motors comes in third. As late as October 2023, Tata Motors held the third spot. Compared to 45,220 cars sold during the same period the previous year, 48,343 cars were sold. This indicates that the company’s yearly revenues have grown by 7%. However, on an annual basis, sales of its four cars decreased. The Tata Safari, Harrier, Tigor, and Tiago are these vehicles.
Sales of Tata Tiago
In October 2023, Tata Motors sold 5,356 Tiago vehicles, compared to 7,187 in October 2022. This indicates a 25% year-over-year decline in sales. Additionally, its revenues dropped by 21%. Additionally, sales of the Tigor, Tata Motors’ sole car, have drastically decreased. Year-over-year, its revenues dropped by 61 percent. In October 2023, the business sold 1,563 Tigor units in total. In contrast, 4001 units were sold in October of 2022.
Safari and Harrier Cars
The sales of Tata’s premium SUVs, the Safari and Harrier, have also decreased. Their revenues decreased by 31% and 23% on a yearly basis, respectively. In October 2023, Tata sold 1,896 Harrier units overall; in the same month in 2022, the number was 2,762 units. Speaking about Safari, Tata sold 1,340 units in October 2023, the most recent month, compared to 1,751 units in October 2022. In other words, sales have decreased by 23%.
