Last month, Royal Enfield unveiled the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition. There was only one of these. The production version of the RE Shotgun 650, which is scheduled to go on sale globally early in 2019, has now been made public by the firm. Four colors are offered for the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650: Sheetmetal Grey, Plasma Blue, Drill Green, and Stancil White. It is constructed on the same 650-twin base as the Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, and Interceptor 650 from RE. The SG650 idea was shown at EICMA 2021 in this production-ready form.
The Motoverse Edition and this motorcycle have a striking resemblance.
The motorcycle is equipped with a tripper navigation pod and an LED headlamp, among many other amazing features. Clients have the choice of single-seater or pillion seat. The rider will sit in an upright position on the motorcycle. It has a flat handlebar and more mid-set footpegs.
The 648cc, 4-stroke, SOHC, parallel twin,
air-cooled engine of the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 generates 52.3Nm at 5,650 rpm and 46.3hp at 7250 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox attached to it. There have been claims that the motorcycle has a 22 km range. The wheelbase of the motorcycle is 1465 millimeters. It has 140 mm of ground clearance. The new Shotgun 650 measures 2170 mm in length, 820 mm in width, and 1105 mm in height. Its seat is 795 mm high. It weighs 240 kilograms. Its petrol tank holds 13.8 litres.
The USD front fork with 120 mm
of travel and the rear twin-shock absorber with 90 mm of travel is sourced from Showa and fitted with a steel tubular spine frame. The tyres on the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 are 150/70 in the back and 100/90 in the front. 18-inch wheels are on the front, while 17-inch wheels are on the back.
