Mercedes-Benz will introduce the facelifted GLS at the beginning of 2024. In April of this year, the redesigned flagship SUV made its world premiere. It will now debut on January 8, 2024, in India. Upgrades to the new GLS’s features and appearance are anticipated. It is anticipated that the GLS facelift will cost Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom). This hasn’t been verified, though. When the new Mercedes-Benz GLS is introduced, it will go up against high-end flagship SUVs like the BMW X7, Audi Q8, Volvo XC90, and Land Rover Discovery.
The front grille, which could also get a silver shadow treatment,
could receive the largest design change to the car’s exterior. There might be a fresh, modern look. Apart from this, a new front bumper with air inlet grilles high-gloss black surround, and new taillamps (in three horizontal block patterns) can be found. Changes are likely to be seen inside the cabin as well.
It is anticipated to have an upgraded
MBUX infotainment system integrated into the driver’s instrument cluster in addition to a touchscreen infotainment system positioned centrally. There are three versions of MBUX setup: Discreet, Sporty, and Classic.
Two new upholstery possibilities
for the redesigned GLS might be Catalana Brown and Bahia Brown. It might have a parking package installed, which would feature an off-road mode with a 360-degree camera and other camera angles surrounding the car.
The engine options will likely
be the same as those of the departing GLS. This indicates that 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol and 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine options will be available for the 2024 GLS. The 9-speed automatic transmission that comes with both engine options can transmit power to all four axles via Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive technology.
