The name of this project is PM Surya Ghar Yojana – Free Electricity Project (PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana). What is the Free Electricity Scheme, PM Surya Ghar?
Rs 75,000 crore has been invested in this project till date. There are plans to offer 300 units of free electricity per month under this project. Under the free electricity program, the government would supply electricity to roughly one crore homes. The average person’s electricity bill will go down thanks to this program. In addition to this, jobs will also be created.
How to apply for a solar panel:
Visit pmsuryagarh.gov.in to apply. To register, take these actions:
- To begin with, you must register on the official website. Choose your state first. Choose the Electricity Distribution Company after that. Next, provide your electrical customer number. Put your mobile number here. Type your email address here. Continue according to every instruction provided on the portal.
- Enter your consumer number and cellphone number to log in after registering. You now need to apply for rooftop solar by filling out the form.
- You now need to wait for Discom’s permission. Any registered vendor can install your plant once you’ve received approval.
- After the installation of your plant, you will have to submit the details of the plant. Apart from this, you will have to apply for a net meter.
- After installing your net meter, proceed to step 5. Following that, DISCOM will investigate it. Your certificate will then be generated via the portal.
- Following receipt of the commissioning report. You will need to submit a canceled check and bank account information via the site. Within 30 days, you will now begin receiving subsidies in your bank account.
