Before Ind Vs Eng fourth test match, the Indian team had two significant losses. Due to injuries, both wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will miss the fourth Test match. Bumrah has been rested, according to BCCI, because of the lengthy series. On the other hand, KL Rahul’s fitness forced him to miss the fourth test match.

A decision regarding his participation in the fifth test match will be made after he is deemed fit. However, Mukesh Kumar, the fast bowler, has rejoined the team after being cut loose before the third Test match. There is an opportunity for Mukesh Kumar to join the Indian squad.
