The list of yearly contracts has been made public by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. This list from BCCI has taken several players by surprise. This also features a lot of well-known names. The names of the young batters it has distanced itself from, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer, appear first on this list. In addition, players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Cheteshwar Pujara have been released.
Changes to Grade-A
Six players are still in Grade A. Mohd, R Ashwin, and Hardik Pandya were all included in Grade A in the previous year’s deal. Akshar Patel, Rishabh Pant, and Shami were their names. However, KL Rahul and Shubman Gill have been admitted instead of Pant and Akshar, who have been demoted to Grade B. The appellation of
fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has also been added to this list.
Whose Grade B cut card is it?
In Grade B, BCCI has made significant changes. The list does not include the names of the two best batsmen in Test cricket, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Shreyas Iyer. Both of the batsmen were in Grade B on the previous contract. BCCI has taken both players out of the central contract this time. Kuldeep Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal have been placed in Grade B instead of these two.
Numerous athletes were removed from Grade C.
Many players have been sidelined by BCCI, even in Grade C. Prominent figures like Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, and Shikhar Dhawan have been left out of the BCCI’s annual contracts.
