‘Wear a mask,’ says Google’s Doodle, demonstrating Covid’s protection guidelines for all.

As the coronavirus spreads around the world, Google has relaunched its quirky search engine “Put on a mask. Save People’s Lives “It’s a doodle.

The doodle, by wearing a face mask responsibly, is setting an example on how to keep oneself and those around us protected. Google’s animated homepage portrays characters G-O-O-G-L-E adhering to the social distancing rule as well.

Aside from that, the letter ‘L’ is animated as a vaccine syringe.

The browser leads us to a page with information resources about the pandemic and preventive measures that can be taken when we click on the letters.

In a post, Google said, “As Covid-19 continues to affect communities around the world, help stop the spread by following these measures.”

On Tuesday, the global Covid-19 caseload reached 131.6 million, prompting the latest doodle.

Cases in India have reached a new peak, with the country registering over 1 lakh new infections on Monday, the highest number since the pandemic started. On Tuesday, the total fell slightly.

In the last 24 hours, 96,982 more people tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total caseload to 1,26,86,049, according to the Union health ministry on Tuesday morning.

In addition, 446 more people died from the disease in the same time period across the world, bringing the total death toll to 1,65,547.

As a result, the total number of active cases has risen to 7,88,223, edging closer to the 8lakh mark once more. On Monday, there were 7,41,830 active cases in the country, breaking the seven-thousand mark.

India has added over one lakh cases to the active tally in just three days, the shortest time period so far.
