Maruti Grand Vitara CNG Price and Mileage: Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of its most expensive and premium SUV Grand Vitara. Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG price starts at Rs 12.85 Lakh and goes up to Rs 14.84 Lakh. It is offered in only two variants – Delta (MT) and Zeta (MT). Both these variants are powered by the next-generation K-series 1.5-liter, dual jet, dual VVT engine. CNG kit is offered in this engine unit.

On CNG, it can deliver 64.6kW@5500rpm peak power output. In CNG mode, it can generate maximum torque of 121.5 Nm at 4200rpm. The Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox while the K-Series 1.5-litre petrol engine also comes mated to a 6-speed AMT (in the regular petrol variant). Maruti Suzuki claims that the Grand Vitara CNG can deliver a mileage of up to 26.6 km/kg.

Its CNG variant (Jeta) will get 6 airbags. It is also the only premium CNG SUV in the country to come in a 6-airbag variant. It will get next-gen technology like SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and in-built next-gen Suzuki Connect. It will have 40+ connected features.

Regarding the Grand Vitara CNG launch, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. said, “Grand Vitara has received a great response from Indian consumers since its launch in September 2022. Further enhancing the appeal of the Grand Vitara.”

“The Grand Vitara S-CNG will contribute to our aggressive plan to expand our green-powertrain offerings,” Srivastava said. Maruti now has 14 CNG models.

Mahindra Thar RWD Features and Specifications: The new RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) variant of Mahindra Thar is going to be launched on 9 January 2023. Ahead of the launch, the carmaker has updated the brochure of the SUV on its official website. This has revealed the engine specifications, features, and color options of the Mahindra Thar RWD. The Thar RWD variant will also get a new 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine, which produces 118bhp and 300Nm. The same engine also powers the XUV300 subcompact SUV.

The rear-wheel drive system will also be carried over to the Thar along with the existing 2.0L turbo petrol engine, which produces 152bhp max power and 300Nm (MT) / 320Nm (AT) peak torque. The new 1.5L turbo diesel engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the 2.0L turbo petrol unit will come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options.

Talking about the features, the new Mahindra Thar RWD AX (O) will get a monochrome MID display, vinyl upholstery, manual mirror adjustments, tubular steel side steps, and 17-inch alloy wheels. However, it will miss out on cruise control, a tire pressure monitoring system, steering mounted controls, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and in-built speakers.

The 1.5L AX(O) variant will get an electronic stability program with hill hold, hill descent control, and rollover mitigation. The Thar RWD variant will be made available in new Blazing Bronze and Everest White colours. The 4X4 variant of the SUV comes in four paint schemes – Galaxy Grey, Aquamarine, Red Rage, and Napoli Black.

The RWD version of Thar will not be for offroading whereas Thar is known for its offroading capabilities. But, now the RWD will not have that offroading capability. Apart from this, there will also be a lack of some features, due to which customers may be disappointed.

The Income Tax Department has issued a warning regarding Permanent Account Number (PAN). According to the warning issued by the IT department, it has been made mandatory to link PAN number with Aadhaar by March 31, 2023. Failure to do so will render the PAN invalid and all transactions done with its help barred. Because of this, the 10-digit PAN could not be used. However, those who have already linked their PAN with Aadhaar will not face any problems.

In the warning issued by the Income Tax Department, it is clearly written that it is mandatory to link PAN with your Aadhaar by March 31, 2023, so do not delay in this work, otherwise, your PAN number will be of no use. According to the Income Tax Act, this linking is necessary for 10-digit unique alphanumeric number holders.

Who got exemption?

Amidst the compulsion to link PAN with Aadhaar, there are some people who have been exempted from this process. In this, people living in Assam, Jammu-Kashmir, and Meghalaya, people above 80 years of age, and those who are not citizens of India but are living here, are exempted from this process of linking.

How much will it cost

Join? The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar was extended from 31st March 2022 to 31st March 2023 by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). However, 1000 rupees will have to be paid for this linking process. According to the advisory of the IT department, if people do not link PAN-Aadhaar by March 31, 2023, then their PAN will become inactive.

Why is it important to link PAN with Aadhaar?

The central government has made it mandatory to link PAN and Aadhaar number under the existing rules. Linking is a process for legal requirements, this process also benefits the government and taxpayers.

Linking PAN with Aadhaar helps in identifying people with multiple PAN cards.
If PAN is linked to Aadhaar, it will ease income tax return processing and verification.

Method to link PAN with Aadhaar

First open the income tax e-portal (incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in).
After this log in with the help of the user id, password, and date of birth.
Go to the menu bar of profile settings and click on the option of Link Aadhaar.

Here you have already been given information about your date of birth, and gender as per PAN.

Verify PAN details with the help of Aadhaar details on the screen.
After matching the details, enter your Aadhaar number and click on the Link Now button.
You will get a pop-up message stating that your PAN number has been linked to your Aadhaar.

The woman complained several times, but despite repeated calls to Flipkart, there was no response and the woman’s mobile phone was also unreachable.

Disturbed by the irresponsible attitude of Flipkart, this woman took recourse to the law and filed a complaint in the consumer court. Understanding the problem of the woman, the court has ordered the shopping site Flipkart to pay not only the cost of the woman’s phone but also several payments. Now Flipkart will give Rs 42,000 to that woman in exchange for Rs 12,499 mobile.

The consumer court has ordered Flipkart to refund the full cost of the mobile. Rs 12,499 to the woman and pay an additional 12 percent annual interest on this cost. Not only this, the consumer court has ordered Flipkart to pay a fine of Rs 20,000 and legal expenses of Rs 10,000 to the woman, holding Flipkart guilty of showing negligence in terms of service and following unethical practices.

Sony-Honda Mobility has announced its new brand Afeela and introduced the first EV concept sedan under the banner. The new prototype is an evolution of the EV that Japanese tech giant Sony and automaker Honda have been developing for some time now. The Afeela  EV prototype will incorporate the expertise of the two organizations in the fields of AI, entertainment, VR, and AR. According to earlier reports, the vehicle will also be claimed to have a PlayStation 5 built-in. The EV is expected to hit the North American market in 2026.

Sony Honda Mobility has now revealed its first EV brand known as Afeela. The JV has also introduced a new EV concept which adopts a sedan body style. The EV is currently at the prototype stage and will be the first model to debut the Afela brand when it is finally launched in North American markets in 2026.

During the launch, Yasuhide Mizuno, CEO of Sony Honda Mobility, touted Afeela as its in-house brand, which resonates with the idea of “an interactive relationship where people feel the sensation of interactive mobility”. The JV aims to achieve this by harnessing the power of the two Japanese industry giants in areas such as AI, entertainment, virtual reality, and augmented reality. The company envisions incorporating autonomy, growth, and intimacy as the three key themes of the Afeela-branded EV. The company has also highlighted its partnership with Qualcomm which will produce a new generation of vehicular chipsets under the Snapdragon brand that will power a number of gadgetry and electronic components on the upcoming Afela EV.

While there’s no word on the vehicle’s powertrain features, CEO Mizuno highlighted the vehicle’s active safety credentials. The Afeela EV will get 45 sensors in the form of cameras, radar, ultrasonic, and lidar on the exterior of the vehicle to achieve autonomous driveability. The EV that was showcased is a bit different from the Vision S prototype that was showcased a while ago. The new EV under the Afeela brand adopts a simple light bar design with a smart media screen near the headlights. According to Mizuno, this design feature allows the vehicle to interact with people and society by displaying various information as well as interactive graphics. The interior will also boast of a high audio-visual experience which may take note of Sony’s expertise in this area. A PS5 is also speculated to feature built into the cabin.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has opened a pedestrian subway at Terminal 1 of IGI Airport. The 130-meter-long subway provides connectivity between the DMRC’s Magenta Line metro station and the airport arrivals area.

Each entrance and exit of the subway has two escalators and stairs as well as two elevators. The lifts installed in the metro for the movement of passengers are more spacious than the normal lifts installed in the metro system and have the capacity to carry around 26 people.
