Covaxin is India’s first indigenous vaccine
Let us tell you that Covaxin is India’s first indigenous vaccine in the war against Coronavirus. Covaccine is jointly developed by Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). No use of calf serum in the vaccine: Health Ministry
The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday refuted the rumor going on social media regarding the use of calf serum in Covaxin. The ministry issued a statement saying that in relation to the composition of Covaxin, it is being claimed in some social media posts that the vaccine contains Calf Serum. This is not correct and facts have been distorted.
26.19 crore doses of vaccine given so far
According to the data of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), 26 crores 19 lakh 72 thousand 14 doses of Corona Vaccine have been given across the country so far (till June 16, 7 am). So far, 21 crores 26 lakh 81 thousand 921 first doses have been administered in the country, while 4 crores 92 lakh 90 thousand 93 people have taken both the doses.
