Punjab National Bank has issued an important update for its customers (PNB Updates). In fact, Oriental Bank of Commerce and Union Bank of India have recently merged with this government bank, so now a lot has changed for the customers of these banks. PNB has told the customers in a tweet that soon the e-OBC (Oriental Bank) e-UNI (Union Bank) checkbook will be closed in a few days.Â
The bank tweeted, ‘Important announcement, take note. Dear e-OBC and e-UNI customers, the old checkbooks of e-OBC and e-UNI will be closed soon by the bank.’

PNB has asked customers to get a new checkbook at the earliest, else they may face problems in using the checkbook.
How to get a new checkbook
The customers affected by this merger can go to their local branch and get a new checkbook. Or they can apply for a new checkbook using ATM/IBS/PNB.
Customers can call the customer care number 18001802222 or 18001032222 or they can also email care@pnb.co.in for more details.
– IFSC and MICR code has also changed for these customers, they can either visit the local branch of their bank or call on customer care number- 18001802222 or 18001032222 to get information about it. However, the bank says that it has already sent SMS with updated IFSC to the customers.
