In Delhi, RTOs will no longer be required for obtaining a driver’s licence or an RC; all services would be available with a single click from the comfort of one’s own home.

Online RTO Services: People in Delhi will no longer be required to attend the RTO for documents such as a driver’s licence or a registration certificate. They will be able to acquire a variety of services relating to automobiles while sitting at home. Like learning license, renewal of DL and duplicate license etc.

New Delhi, India: There will be no need to visit the RTO and waste time in long lines for motor vehicle documents such as a driver’s licence (DL) or a registration certificate (RC). On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence, the Kejriwal government of Delhi has made all services relating to motor vehicles available online.

Online DL and RC services

People in Delhi will be able to obtain documents such as a driver’s licence and a registration certificate on the RTO’s website. To do so, go to the RTO website at www.transport.delhi.gov.in and download the necessary documentation. Aside from that, the Delhi government has established a helpline number 1076, which can be used to obtain any information about online services. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the inauguration of this faceless transportation services system today, describing it as a gift for the country’s 75th anniversary of independence. The Department of Transportation has also published a standard operating procedure for this.

Sitting at home, your driver’s licence will be made ‘faceless’!

Now, while sitting at home, the licence will be renewed through Faceless Transport Services. Learning licences will be created by administering an exam at home, and duplicate DLs will be created. Except for the Permanent Driving Test and the vehicle fitness test, most services will be covered under this scheme. People no longer have to wait in lines at zonal offices, according to Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot. He said that the Delhi government had been planning for the new system for a long time and that experiments had already taken place.

What kind of services will the faceless system provide?

The faceless systems that are coming under the purview of transport services are mainly Driving License Renewal, Duplicate License, Change of Address, DL Replacement, Transfer of Ownership, Duplicate RC, Change of Address, NOC, Road Tax Collection, Retention, Goods Fresh permit, duplicate permit, transfer of permit, permit surrender, trade certificate, renewal of TC will be included for the vehicle.

You can now take an online test from your home or business.

E-learning licences will now be available from the comfort of your own home. You can administer an online test from the comfort of your own home, business, or educational institution. If a person passes the test, his or her learning licence will be issued right away. NIC has set up a system to handle this. Software for recognizing faces has been created. The photograph of the test taker will be taken using NIC software. Now, the NIC programme will match the photo on the Aadhar card with the photo on the Aadhar card. If the photo does not match or if someone refuses to provide their Aadhaar number, they will be unable to take the test at home. In this case, you will have the option of taking the test at the Mall Road zonal office.
