Actually, on Saturday, Delhi Mayor Shaili Oberoi declared that residential areas falling under the MCD’s rural authority would not have to pay property taxes.
Municipal Corporation of Delhi
According to Oberoi, “Lal Dora” and extended “Lal Dora” residences in rural regions will not be subject to house tax collection by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). He declared, “In the residential areas under Lal Dora or Extended Lal Dora in its rural jurisdiction, MCD will not send notices or collect property tax.” Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s action greatly relieves Delhi’s rural residents.

Aside from this, some properties will be subject to taxation. Oberoi declared that there would be no change in the tax levied on commercial establishments in rural areas. In Delhi, thousands of roadways are likewise governed by the MCD. Commercial premises on about 2,168 rural Delhi roads that have been notified under the MCD are required to pay property tax.
