Musheer Khan’s century and Soumya Pandey’s outstanding bowling display helped the Indian team upset New Zealand in the Under-19 World Cup match by 214 runs. In this Super-6 match, India amassed 295 runs for 8 wickets, led by the century of Mushir Khan (131), the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan. The Kiwi team was then all out for 81 runs. After hitting 13 fours and 3 sixes in 126 balls, Musheer Khan was selected as the player of the match. Pandey, meanwhile, claimed 4 wickets in 10 overs for just 19 runs.
The century of Musheer in World Cup
Oscar Jackson, the captain of New Zealand, won the toss and asked the Indian side to bat first in this Bloemfontein encounter. Owing to opener Adarsh Singh’s fifty-two and captain Musheer Khan’s century (131), India amassed a massive 295 runs in the allotted 50 overs. During his 126-ball innings, Musheer hit 13 fours and 3 sixes. Along with Adarsh, he scored 77 runs for the second wicket. then had a third-wicket partnership of 87 runs with captain Uday Saharan. Mason Clarke grabbed four wickets while playing well with the ball for the New Zealand team.

played in Bloemfontein, Musheer Khan added 118 runs against Ireland. He flopped in his first tournament match against Bangladesh but performed consistently well after that.
