In the Indian market, Hyundai debuted the Exter mini SUV, which is based on Casper, last year (2023). This entry-level SUV has competition from the Citroen C3 and Tata Punch. The business is now developing an inexpensive entry-level electric vehicle, which was recently observed undergoing testing in Europe. This new electric vehicle is based on the South Korean-available Hyundai Casper mini SUV.
Given that the Hyundai has previously
introduced the Exeter SUV, which is based on the Casper model, to the Indian market, there is also a chance that it may make an appearance there soon. An electric SUV based on Casper has now been spotted in Europe. If it is shipped to India, it will only be available as an electric Exeter model. Nevertheless, Hyundai has not provided any official information in this regard.
It will face off against
the Citroen EC3 and Tata Punch EV in India. It is anticipated that the new entry-level SUV will be unveiled in several developing markets, such as India and a few European nations. However, the first half of 2025 may see the release of this compact electric SUV in Europe.
Because the observed model
was adequately covered, and little information could be disclosed. Given the weather, there were extra lights in front of it that were installed for greater visibility. The electric propulsion system’s batteries were visible from the sides and back, despite being heavily camouflaged. The Grand i10, Exeter, and Casper ICE are constructed on the K1 platform, which is anticipated to serve as its foundation. It is anticipated to offer two battery options. The larger battery version can give a range of up to 400 kilometers on a single charge.
