Over the past few months, Ola electric scooter has lowered the cost of the S1 electric scooter series by Rs 25,000. Now, the starting price of an e-scooter is Rs 84,999. The new rates, however, are only available through February 2024 and will be adjusted in March of the same year. The Ola S1 3kWh battery pack line (S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1 X+) is now less expensive, which is something to note.
Ola Electric lowered the cost of the S1 entry-level model.
This model was originally priced at Rs 1,09,999; with the discount, it is now at Rs 84,999. 25,000 less than the initial cost, to be exact. Ola S1 Air is now available for Rs 15,000 less. The cost of this scooter was Rs 1,19,999. With the discount, the price of S1 Air has now become Rs 1,04,999. At the same time, the price of top-spec Ola S1 Pro has now become Rs 1,29,999, and a discount of Rs 17,500 is available on it. The original price of this variant was Rs 1,47,999.
Ola commented on the price reduction, saying
“We have been able to restructure the cost and have decided to pass on the benefits to the customers. This is due to our strong vertically integrated in-house technology and manufacturing capacity.” However, if Ola truly wants to help its consumers and has lowered the price for this very purpose (as the firm has indicated). Short-term price reductions are typically employed as a marketing tactic to increase sales. Many businesses occasionally act in this manner.
