Sales-wise, the Korean vehicle manufacturer is doing well. In the past three months, Hyundai has sold more than 23,000 Exeter vehicles. In July, 7,000 units were sold, followed by 7,430 in August, and 8,647 in September. The SUV Exeter was introduced with a starting price of Rs 6 lakh and a top model priced at Rs 10 Lakh. But the cost of it has since gone up.
A rise in price
For the first time, Exeter’s price has gone up. There has been a Rs 16,000 price increase. The costs of its EX manual and SX (O) Connect AMT models have not changed, though. The SX(O) Connect MT dual-tone variant’s pricing has increased by Rs 16,000 the most. The top-spec SX (O) Connect AMT dual-tone variant’s price has increased by Rs 5,000 at the same time, and all other variants have increased in price by Rs 10,400.
Powertrain and mileage
It has a 1.2-liter petrol engine with naturally aspirated fuel that generates 83 PS/114 Nm of output. Both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox are available. Additionally, it has CNG. On CNG, this engine produces 69 PS/95 Nm. The CNG version has a 5-speed manual gearbox. It can travel up to 19.4 kilometers per liter of petrol and up to 27.1 kilometers per kilogram of compressed natural gas.
